My Mobile/Cell phone provider gave me a free trial of Voice to Text on my iphone - so when people leave a voicemail message it gets interpreted to text and sent as an SMS.
There have been some interesting translations of peoples messages but this one, by far, tops them all: Message received from my 12 year old this afternoon whilst standing in line at a shop: "Yo mum Ken seem really disturbing and we really need help. And he's like go static around the house now I thinks he's off the game. And can you ring ___ Ken. What are you doing? Fuck. Fuck Ken. Hello." So I start freaking out thinking that some stranger called "Ken" has broken into my house and is running around my house freaking out the boys (btw boys are all at home alone: i've only been gone 10 minutes) I try to call house several times, but because we have had so much bloody rain here - phone line isn't working properly and i can't get thru. I start to quietly panic, but finally get thru on one of their cell phones. So this is really what the text message was trying to say: "Hello Mum, Callan's really annoying me, i need help. And he's going spastic around the house, and i think he shoudn't get a game. Stop annoying me Callan! What are you doing? Fuck. Fucking Hell." Explanation: 12 year old being hassled by a 4year old (callan) - while leaving voicemail message and trying to play PS3. So now I know 2 things: 1. I will never delete this text. 2. My 12 year old uses the F word far too much when i'm not around. My free trial f this service runs out end of this month. Was thinking of deleting service, before I got this text. Now i dont think so!
