if you have a valid/working version of the creative suite, there's really no reason to have it. the only plus is if you're a working professional and always have to upgrade with the latest version to keep pace with the industry. i also think it's great for hobbyists, they can get a program or two ala carte, for the monthly fee and don't have to drop $600 to $2000 to get a licensed copy. i signed up because I thought that adobe was being dicks and rejecting my serial numbers after I migrated the programs over from another computer (ended up working after I did a clean install) and also I've had some bugs working with dreamweaver, i'm hoping the live updates to the programs on start up will keep it relatively bug-free. and also: it's a tax write off for me since i'm a working professional.
the letter D resets the colors back to black and white in p-shop and illustrator. X toggles between them. when you're in the brush tool, clicking any of the number keys sets the opacity to that percent 1 = 10%, 2 = 20% and so on.
