Oh, ps... Some of you might be scratching your heads and wondering "what the eff is a bloggerraiser?" and so, I bring you the answer!

The bloggerraiser is a blogger driven fundraiser to help send as many bloggers as possible to the annual threadless meet up in Chicago. When the meet up gets closer, we will have a contest open to all bloggers/community members and use the funds from the bloggerraiser to send as many/the most deserving to Chicago to hang out at threadlees HQ with everyone else!

Hold a competition for 5 lucky londoners to come to the meetup and pay for their travel!

I stole this from another blog. But I was thinking, the bloggerraiser is generally for people in the US and canada right? I know that sometimes out of country people get it, but usually no.

I was thinking would it be cool if there were two separate bloggerraisers- one for US and Canada and one for Europe, etc. ?

I don't want to step on anyones toes, but i think it would be cool

i'm pretty sure it's for everyone, tess. i think there might not have been any non-canadian international entries this year, though.

I could see them not entering so it would give more money for other people to go. Everyone on here is so thoughtful.

I just thought if there would be two pools, there would be a better chance of some of them coming- instead of maybe one.

There were no international entrants this year. I think it would work best to keep all the money in the same pot so that donators don't have to specify if the $$ is going to the international or domestic pot etc etc.

In the end, it should come down to the best entrants winning, and based on the funds we have, work down the list to send as many as we can like we did this year.. to me, it seems that if people really wanted to go, they would have put in the time to make an entry regardless of where they lived, in the event that they could win instead of asking after the fact for someone to implement a contest that actually already exists.

Marco did enter this year as an international entrant.

and Canadian flights are in the same range as a lot of other international flights at times, I know Kelsi's flights have cost a fortune.

Year one of the Bloggerraiser, when Jared ran it and Adrienne won, I believe it was for international people only (could be wrong about this). Year Two we decided there was no reason people in the states shouldn't be able to enter if they can't afford the trip, although there tended to still be an emphasis on international entrants. Since then, it's been pretty even, and we've tried to base it on the best entries, not who happens to live where.

With how much we raised this year, we could have sent someone from anywhere in the world. And for all of the people who didn't want to enter because then other people might not win, that seems kind of crazy. A bunch of Bloggerraiser winners this year had that exact same attitude, and they wouldn't have ended up going if they didn't get over it and enter, but I bet you they don't regret entering. Three of the people who won trips to the meetup this year didn't even get their entries in until after the deadline. So there's no reason not to enter if you want to go. And with the insane amount of money we raised this year, we can do even better next year. There's no reason anyone doesn't have a chance to go, they just need to make an effort to make the best Bloggerraiser entry they can.
