What's wrong with your shirt? aka kids are funny
I was working in grade 4 this morning, and I went in to pull one of my special ed kids and another kid in grade 4 raised his hand and asked, "Miss, what's wrong with your shirt?" Suddenly there were 28 pairs of eyes on me.

I stretched it out in front of me, inspecting it and said, "why? is it dirty?"

"no..."

"oh," I said, still examining my shirt, "does it have a hole in it?"

"no... it's just.... it's kinda weird" he finally said.

"you're kinda weird, too" I responded, took my special ed kid and waltzed out.

My job is fun.

Also I got a hairwolves print in the mail this week.

aww kids. my only interaction with kids are when i used to teach sunday school. i used to just tell all the boys they were my boyfriends and they'd be like "ewww!" i don't know if that'd fly as well in a legit school.... haha.

haha might not, Julia, but we still tease them anyway.. like if they get all awkward while they're talking I just say, "it's because you think I'm beautiful, isn't it?"

I think I get away with a bit more dress code wise because I'm the youngest on staff and I teach drama and art and generally do whatever I feel like... sometimes I wear electric blue tights, leg warmers and chucks to school and no one says anything, and then the next day I'll wear three in heels and a grownup dress...



i think also because I'm pretty good at my job and nice to everyone that they don't mind either.
