Taking a break from homework.

Let's see then...
I'm guessing you'll be doing more detail work? I'll be more critical when I see the next version, but for now I'd like more work on the guy's head. It doesn't seem to flow too nicely. Like how only one branch seems to be in the tree, the rest look unattached. Maybe more branches popping out and more work on the leaves? The branch on the right in particular doesn't look too branch-like.
Just more details would be nice, I guess. This is a design that looks like it would win on simplicity as a whole, but fine-tuning here and there would make it perfect.
These last few things I'll mention are just personal preferences and nitpicks, but how do you feel if the clothes were a little worn? And maybe if the plaid shirt looked a little more plaid?
I really like where this is going. And sorry if this is a lot of stuff. I just really like it and I can see this printing.

hmm okay i think i get wha you mean....the face needs an identity and the branches doesn't flow that nicely and try to add more braches flowing out...so ill try to improved on it.

Any other suggestion or comment?

I'd like to see more trees. Maybe do something like a half circle area of trees up to where his knees would be?

Hey this is really awesome, I'd have to agree with agrimony that the branches on the head looks slightly off, it looks a little like the leaves are only behind them :P
