So I've told my hubbie I want a cintiq 21ux for Xmas! Cheeky I know but I really want one!

I wanna know who has one and how have they found working with it. I know you have to have some drawing skills and can't expect the cintiq to somehow miraculously turn you into a brilliant illustrator but has it improved your drawing skills or does it just make you work faster and more efficiently?

I also noticed it is cheaper to buy in the USA than here in Australia but will there be issues with the power adapter/plugs etc.???

Is that the giant screen thingummyjig? 21 inches.....I thought they made them bigger. I might buy one at a later date.

Jillustration has one! Her linework looked amazing on a recent sub, although in the past it looked great anyway.

I didn't know that you were Australian, I thought you were American!

I really want one!!!!! Yeah they are a bit expensive but I think it would be a great investment!

I kinda figured jillustration had one as her work is amazing but I think that has a lot to do with her natural skill rather than the cintiq!

They do come in 24inch too I think but 21 would suffice!

Thomas - what made you think I was American? I was actually born in the UK but I have lived in Australia since I was 4 so I am more of an aussie girl now :)

I dunno, I just had that general impression..... from some of your subs perhaps?

Like the F U MoFo! one.....or the Now That's Scary seem like they're catered to the American market.....not overly so though. :)

I do cater for the american market to an extent. Only because threadless is american based and obviously a lot of threadless customers are american. But I also know threadless is huge all over the world so I try not to do that too much!

I'm still a pommie girl too even though I live in Oz. I still watch a lot of british tv shows and I LOVE football. :)

Yeah, that's OK-no need to explain. I do some American style too myself!

Hurrah for classic British TV. Although, the last time I went back to England the shows weren't very good. They had a new version of Red Dwarf which I meant to look on the net for.

I liked Black Books, Father Ted, Spaced, Men Behaving Badly, & the Peep Show.

I occasionally watched Emmerdale and Eastenders too! :)

I watch the England world cup stuff, but that's about it :P

I love Black Books and Men Behaving Badly!
I went and lived in the UK for 12 months back in 2002 and I got hooked on emmerdale and coronation street!

I also love the inbetweeners, shameless, grand designs etc etc. basically I like a lot of british tv.

Yep those two are great!

I like Shameless, although I've missed a lot of the later episodes. The first season was definitely worth watching. Inbetweeners certainly has it's funny moments too!
