Do you have to pay taxes on the money you get if your design is printed?

I've never done taxes before and I don't know how all of that works.

i think it's one of those miscellaneous income forms. you fill out a form the first time, and I suppose they send out a 1090 Misc. or whatever around the end of the year.

Okay, thanks. I'm an American, btw. Also, I got a design printed on another site and they're giving me $150. Would I have to file taxes for that?

i dont know if there's a minimum income level, but they'll probably send you a form anyway, and I think legally you're required to report all income, regardless of whether you get a form or not.

they give you $3000 instead of $2000 and no taxes!

but you have to spend it on school, great thing

i think if you earn below $7000 you dont have to claim tax...its recognized as a hobby..

well in australia anyway. not sure about the USA
