If you didn’t see my previous post, then let me speed you up. I love this little ol’ festival you may have heard of—Austin City Limits Music Festival!! (ACL Website)
Confession: I’ve never been because I’m a po’ college kid. (Who isn’t these days?) But I've been dreaming of going for over 6ish years. That counts, right? BUT! I love Threadless shirts AND I can actually afford them (bonus points!). ACL is sporting 130 bands and Threadless has a triple digit amount of shirts. The common denominator between the two is that I’m not familiar with a lot of them. So here’s my plan: Review a band that’s rocking out at ACL and (attempt to) match it up with a Threadless shirt. First up? None other than my love… Artist: Andrew Bird Known For: “Imitosis”, “Plasticities” Not (Really) Known For But Should: “Fake Palindromes” Threadless Shirt: Monster Mash Collaboration of HORROR In Short: This indie rock/folk singer has the most random of lyrics that only make sense when he sings them. And he plays the guitar. And the violin. And the... glockenspiel?! Jesus don't you know that you could've died (you should've died) with the monsters that talk, monsters that walk the earth -Fake Palindromes Let me know which songs you like or if you think there’s a better shirt. Or this could just be totally lame.
Everyone should check out Threadless Thursdays on Facebook for a chance to win some sweet Threadless schwag!
Bob and Kristen host a hi-larious video show (we're talking Spielberg quality here) that features Threadless giveaways every hour from 11am to (some single digit)pm. There’s even a special Friday giveaway! It also involves a state-of-the-art prize wheel. Prizes include up to $50, Twitter Tees, Type Tees, Naked and Angry products, AND the gratitude of Bob and Kristen on behalf of the entire Threadless world. You'll also be an internet celebrity as thousands around the cyber world are jealous of your winnings. You're probably asking "How do I get on all this Threadless-y goodness?" Well, I'm so glad you asked! All you need to do is be a FAN of Threadless on Facebook (by searching for Threadless in the search box). I've also put together some illustrations because eye-catching visuals are supposed to further entice potential consumers of all things Threadless. Step 1: Be Threadless’ friend/fan on Facebook. ![]() Step 2: Comment below a video on whatever Bob and Kristen gabbed about. ![]() Step 3: If Bob and Kristen think you have a way fabulous comment or they feel like doing a random spin, then your super fine self gets a free spin! ![]() Step 4: Win big money (and t-shirts)! ![]() Step 5: Rejoice. ![]() Step 6: Repeat. ![]() It’s awesome. I’ve even had a chance to win so what are you waiting for?!
I have come to terms with the fact that my investment for the future (i.e. college degree) is causing me to be presently poor (i.e. little disposable income). This pickle leaves me longing for items I can't afford. Frye boots, textbooks, etc.
Now, most sadly this also means that this college kid can't rock out at only the most amazing concert ev-er!!! Ahem... I give you the Austin City Limits Music Festival lineup. ACL takes place October 2nd-4th at Zilker Park in only the most amazing city- Austin. Texas. (Sorry, Chicago!) Anyway, I hope it's readable. Feel free to comment on who you'd go to see play! ![]() EDIT: Until I figure out this new fangle technology of inserting a picture, click here: Click Me! EDIT to my original EDIT: SUCCESS!! :D
Apparently, my Tweets are not Threadless worthy.
Apparently, my slogans are not Threadless worthy. Apparently, my endings to the TeeV episodes are not Threadless worthy. Apparently, if I actually drew a design, it would not be Threadless worthy, too. (Whoa... comma overload!) Apparently, I must add to my Threadless-less existence and enter the blogosphere. It's dangerous. It's scary. And it's entirely virtual. Cheers to summer and cheers to a hopefully semi-entertaining blog! |
