What the heck, Interview with a Vampire has nothing even in common with Twilight aside from vampires. They have entirely different themes and plots and characters and settings. That's like saying Full House is a ripoff of Inception because they both have white people.

This made me feel old, pokemon first came out back in 1998, I was 12 and completely addicted to the games and the tv show, there were 2 games (technically 3 but we never got the third game) 82 episodes and 1 movie.

Now there are 10 games (not counting spin offs), 14 movies and 747 episodes.

kids these days live in a virtual world, they barely know the what's, why's, and how's of the outdoors...it's a place where you frolic and burn energy before the street lights come on...jeez! i spent half my childhood outside!
kids these days have too many rights, and they all need to be spanked repeatedly...parents think it's wrong and/or abusive...umm bull-crap because i was spanked as a child and am uber thankful for it now!

kids these days are just kids, as much as i hate to admit it, it's the parents that suck these days. sadly, our generation of parents try to be friends with their kids before being a parent, which is completely absurd and idiotic!
kids don't need you to be their friend, they need a positive example to look up to so they can lead our future in a prosperous direction! be a role model, gain their respect, then be a friend!
kids will forever and always be kids...adults don't have to grow-up but we do have to separate ourselves from childish behavior when around kids...the easiest way to disappoint a kid is by being a disappointment as an adult!
everything can be different, everything can be changed, and it all starts with us...are you willing to make the effort?

When I was in high school we had to go to the library to research and used typewriters to type our reports. TYPEWRITERS! Kids these days only know that as a font.

i don't feel old when i hear about stuff like that because those kids are just DUMB.

I know shit about stuff before my time because knowledge is power. They were probably born into the internet which most of us weren't so they should be 10 times more knowledgeable about useless things.

My colleague at work the other day had to ID some kids when they ordered booze - their IDs said they were born in 1995 so they were of legal drinking age here but he refused them to begin with and was shocked that people born in 95 could drink already. He said that made him feel old (even though he's only 19 himself), until I pointed out that in 1995 I'd already been able to drink legally here for over a year. Kids!

I find it hard to believe that the internet wasn't even around when I was at school, and even when I got my degree I didn't know any students that had internet access at home. Wild!
