Hrm. I've just compared the two. I think I like it with the red hearts, except maybe not solid? Like maybe a red outline so that they're not so obvious because right now I can't even see any hearts - or maybe have just one heart descended where the little girl can almost touch it? Does that make any sense? :) Also, ignore my other comment. Hee.

I know this! :) Could you post the original with the red apples so I can compare the two? I can't believe I'm just now seeing this. As you know, this is one of my favourite pieces that you've done and I would love to have this on a t-shirt - I would order it and wear it proudly. :) -Mi.
I love it. Despite the butterfly wings, I don't think this is too effeminate. In the earlier version it had antennae, and somehow that seemed much more girlie to me, but without the antennae, and on the sand color, it looks absolutely perfectly unisex to me; in fact, without the antennae, it reminds me of the Oscar, only black instead of gold, and with wings, which seems not only artistic, but subversive in a way. I honestly would be quite happy to wear this t-shirt in public.

I would absolutely buy this shirt, but I feel like the poor English would have people asking me if I bought the t-shirt in Mexico. If it was just the image it would be perfect.
