So what's really goin on around here?

I have seen shirts get printed that got an avg score of about 2.9 with less than a thousand votes, while other kick-ass shirts that got like a 3.2 with over 1200 votes that don't, is there a secret panel of judges that makes the final decision or something? I guess I should first ask how long it usually takes for threadless to notify the public of whether or not they print the shirt. Anyone have any answers?

Threadless always has the last say about whether or not a shirt gets printed.

Yep, the staff prints what they like. Scores help but they hardly equal a print, I know a little about that.

yeah there is. threadless staff have the final say on what they print regardless of score. some well scoring designs just don't suit their range. and it can take days or months to be notified.

I always thought they just print one of every high scoring shirt and then shaw just walks around and takes a poop on the ones that he doesn't like

i heard the staff goes through and prints what they think will sell or is good.

So the whole voting process is just to help them decide and make the online experience a bit more interesting for us? *sigh* I'm not to sure I want to deal with monkeys who are trained to fight to the death using a knife so I better gather as many diamonds and virgins as I can ASAP

See, the thing is, you can think a design is totally kick-ass, vote it a 5, along with the rest of the natural world, but it's that $ that really says, "I'm going to buy this thing." If not enough of those $ are picked, I'm betting that's the major decision-maker. I have 5'ed a lot of designs that I wouldn't wear myself, so I don't pick the $ along with the 5.
