Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico; Carlos enjoyed many years of bliss as an only child drinking Kool-Aid and spending time at Grandma's house playing with Legos. Making art and friends throughout elementary and middle school, his obsession with the Chicago Bulls was soon replaced by time spent adding to his massive collection of Star Wars paraphernalia. When he was 13 he began reading and drawing comics with his best friend Bryan Rountree. Sometime during the summer after his first kiss, he began waking up in the middle of the night very thirsty for orange juice or Pepsi. With a general lack of interest in other subjects, he decided to apply to Art school during his senior year of high school. Upon acceptance to MICA he ran off to Baltimore where he would soon become entranced by graphic design and popular culture.
