so...
i made a quite different re-make of my last submission. and it was both ACCEPTED and DECLINED. a half an hour apart. How fair is that?? i've seen plenty of re-do's on here that didn't change anything except for placement and t-shirt colour... i had to do quite a bit of editing on mine. bah. bummered. a right-out declined would have been better then an "ok" soon followed up by a "hell no". that's just plain old HARSH, mr.T-less!
it's been 5 days since i submitted a design, and it still hasn't been approved
APPROVE it already! or decline it! just do it NOW. dag nabbed Tless staff.... two more days of vacationing then back to work with you!
i know there have been mixed emotions regarding the Loves Threadless competitions... and i was just wondering what others found were the pros and cons of them.
personally, i like threadless's regular competition, because designs are allowed to be art, and be personal. (or at least more so then they would be at say, hot topic's design studio.) but when designing for the "real world", i don't like having to consider their needs and expectations above my own artistic ideals. i guess that's why i'm taking painting and not commercial illustration. what do you guys think? what do you like/dislike about Loves Threadless? about Dark Side of the Garden
little known fact: when faced with the decision between the life of a pony and their own, a sith (aka, evil jedi) will chose to save the pony. if i were i jedi, i would totally be on the dark side.
i hate to do this, but i'm in need of some feedback.
lookit that picture there, to the left. yep. that one. what do you think? it got a pretty good score, but I didn't get any helpful comments, just "ooo i like it" x's 21. so yes. be hard and thorough. or if you work for threadless... put in a good word for me. mama needs some bread to buy some dough to feed her 14 hungry kiddies.
Jenine has been a member of Threadless since Jan 29 2005 and has scored 7112 submissions, giving an average score of 1.0539.
DUUUD i think i need a job. and as for the 1.0539...i guess that's pretty low.... but i'm trying to be nicer. since vote #'s matter less then $'s. i have a hard time giving anything above a 1 for a shirt that i would not wear due to personal taste. i have a black, cold soul.
I go 8 times a day!
To threadless.com, that is. I realize that's a lot, but DAG, no school till september, no job, and no car (I HAD one, till some jerk killed it a week ago.) How often do you check threadless? The blogs, your submissions or otherwise? Who ever checks the most times per day WINS.
I've only been a member of t-less since January, and already this place has changed so much... Back then I don't think many designs scored over 600. But now, I see a lot ending at 1000 or higher.
Have the number of members increased that much in six months? By the end of this year, this place is going to be absolutely massive. I suppose that's why the admin have started eliminating poor scoring submissions early on. If any admin people are reading this, what do you think? Do you have any awesome big expansion plans for the future? Maybe having "new" and "senior member" sections could help. It could definitely help organize the site... encourage new artists to submit lots to become senior members, and let good designers feel appreciated, even if they've never been printed. But I don't know if people would enjoy the politics involved in dividing designers into levels of seniority. People tend to get pissy when labeled "amateur"... Let me know what you think |
