Video Game Geeks, I Summon Thee

I have been sitting on a Best Buy gift cert. since xmas and cant decide which game i want!

Ive been dying to get:

-Dead Space
-Left 4 Dead
-Gears of War 2
-MK vs DC

Has anyone played any of these? Recommendations? Help a sista out!

Out of those Bioshock is the best game but there is no multiplayer and not much replay value. I like Left 4 Dead more than Gears of War.

i think gears of war 2 is really stupid. but i'm probably in a minority.

i haven't played left 4 dead.

bioshock is pretty sweet from what i've played.

I've beaten the first and the third, and I don't really care for left 4 dead that much. It's a good game though.

Have you heard of Dead Space? that's also kind of cool. I don't know, they're all pretty good games, I'd just go with whatever's cheapest.

yeah ive played bioshock a little, and its amazing.. but i usually end up always playing multiplayer games.. im so torn.

(I was at Brian's house the first day that I got gears of war, he just ran around chainsawing everyone. He looked like he was having not...a lot of fun.

the chainsaw was fun :-D

but i couldn't get used to the controls, and everything just seemed really slow. maybe the single player mode is better.

it's been out for a while. I'm thinking about getting it and fallout 3. Gears of War is definitely more strategic shooting rather than run and gun. You gotta use cover and crap, mang!

if I was you, I'd get what's cheapest and then invest the rest of the money in some xbox points, then hit up the live arcade and get some sweet downloadable games.

a while ago i watched my friend play through the beginning of bioshock on a giant HDtv (while i was probably wasted) and it was the most exciting thing i had ever experienced. i laughed i cried and i died.

if you're more into multiplayer games, then you're going to want to go with L4D, the versus mode on there is the BEST fps multiplayer around. Buy L4D

oh the games you listed (console or pc?)

cause Bioshock can be had for $20 on steam for pc (or if you wait maybe they will have a sale again I got it for $5 a month or two??? ago)

holy shit my bro has that at his house. it's different from the computer version. the controls are slower and there are better effects and everything.

i'm ok with my free version though....

Left4Dead if you want really awesome, multiplayer fun.

Bioshock if you want a pretty deep single-player story (but I hear the game is pretty short).

I don't really know much about Gears of War 2 other than general badassery.

the best version is the DS version or the PSP version, but there's nothing more hilarious then getting pwnt at that game with your friends.

if I was you, I'd buy the cheapest get a 2000 point xbox point card and buy N+ and Castle Crashers

I have not played any of those games, but I like watching J play both Bioshock and Gears.

Bioshock doesn't have multiplayer but it's creepy as hell. From what I can tell there is some replay value (help vs harvest) but not a lot.

Gears multiplayer looks fun, I really should play sometime. I'm just used to the Halo controls so I kinda suck.

I play Lumines and Catan a lot, both downloadable on XBL.

I really don't play many of these games (except Halo) because I get frustrated with learning the controls.

I totally forgot Dead Space was out, so that just moved to the top of my list.. it looks awesome!
