Groovy : ) Nice to know some people use it the same way I do! On my laptop I never reboot, so I keep the stats page open all the time, too. In the morning I load my stats and compare them to the last day.

@bygrinstow: Updating happens every time you load your stats. Also each time I update the persons stats that have been updated the longest time ago. With the usage I have on the site these days it takes about 3 days for all stats to update. More usage = more recent data.

Also: I have begun to collect historical data a few weeks ago. This will soon give me the ability to show graphs of the development of all your slogan-related stats! So soon you won't have to load your stats multiple times, any more : )

Slogan scores seem to be getting higher and higher....slogan inflation, if you will. The cut-off for the hall of fame used to be 70%.....now it's 74% and rising. Too much pimping or better quality slogans.....? I'm not sure.

@julie - there's no question that it's the result of pimping. "Too much" is a matter of debate, but the votes are being pushed up because mostly the members of the slogan club/shoguns are submitting decent slogans and their fellows are not the average votards who will just mindlessely click everything down.

Graphs? That would work. I was going to suggest that the MSQ stats included a time/ date stamp, but I didn't want to trouble the delicate system.

I clicked on the Hall Of Fame and was surprised to see my slogan at #3! It only has 41 votes though, so there's probably nowhere to go but down. Thanks for putting this together, it's really cool!

@julie: I think it's just a matter of quantity. It's a growing community, so it's not surprising that there are more and more good slogans around. After some years the entry line for the top 100 might be at 80%, who knows. Well, by then there will be a new list to keep things interesting... it will maybe show the latest shooting star slogans... trends, rising, falling...

um, er, ah.... has anyone else noticed that the 'printed slogans' doesn't agree with the 'Hall of Fame/Top 100'...?

I think the stats from the Printed Slogans page are the numbers from the date they were printed, and then the Hall of Fame has the up-to-date percentages.

I am amused that as hypothetical inches higher in voting the stats Hall of Fame also inches higher, just enough to keep hypothetical out.... I've been one percent away for like a month and a half or more....

Jon, I feel your pain, dude. When I first caught wind of the Hall of Fame, 73% was the lowest entry point. That's a base percentage long gone now. Sigh...

yeah. I out rank a few of those on votes, but not quite on percentage. Not that I'm saying those that are there are not worthy....

And I say 'amused' because it's that or be bitter, and I don't like bitter things. Nor sour things, unless it involves vinegar or candy. But not vinegar candy.

i think you need to update the 100 greatest and highlight the printed ones....
and update some of them at the bottom...

haha evan, it's all done automatically, it's a script written so colorfool doesn't have to update the list manually! it just takes a while
