too obscure/geeky?

i currently have two design concepts that i need collab partners for.

#1 involves a battlefield and requires someone who can draw scenes of modern warfare.

#2 involves a family portrait and requires someone good at drawing human figures (with clothes, background, etc)

for your enjoyment: this is a halloween collage/mashup thing i put together a few years back. it has bits and pieces of various obscure halloween and monster songs (and a couple classics, too), along with an appearance by everyone's favorite monsters -- count chocula, franken berry, and boo berry.

i subbed my latest design yesterday... and it looks like it will go up for voting today!

seems like just earlier this month, it took a full week for designs to make it through the queue.

is threadless getting faster? are fewer designs being submitted?

i wasn't able to snag one during the 9/9 sale so i'm stoked that this is back!

someone asked me this on another blog, but it got deleted, so i thought it'd be a good topic for a new blog.

my username stalliongsta is actually supposed to be two names, stallio ngsta. i tried to register stallio, which is what i usually go by, but never received a confirmation email and had to use a backup.

stallio is indeed a reference to "stallion", not because i like horses but because my favorite band at the time was ween, and they have a series of songs called "the stallion". (how/why the N got dropped is a boring in-joke i won't bother sharing here.)

ngsta is another song reference, to "ana ng" by they might be giants.

basically, i picked my internet handle back in college (11-15 years ago) based on my then-favorite bands. i later started making music under the name stAllio! so i'm basically stuck with the name now unless i want to risk losing what few fans i have.

how did you come up with your username?
