Girly XL vs. Girly 2xl

Has anyone who commonly wore a girly XL tried a 2xl?

If so, is there a big size difference. I see the chart, and the numbers look good, but I am skeptical. I have a closet full of shirt i love that I can't wear because they are too short/too small.

Will a 2xl be better?

Maybe photos?

I haven't tried the new 2XL. I doubt that I would like it, because the new girly shirts are longer and more fitted than the AA shirts, and I look awful in them.

What I've been doing is buying men's medium shirts, washing them in cold water, and putting them in the dryer on low heat before wearing them. I don't like the fit nearly as much compared to the AA girly XL, but it works okay for me.
