God, I love to see crappy design submissions here!

God, I love when I see terribly crappy submissions. Let me explain: I mean you have so many talented artists / graphic designers here like:

Glennz
Thunderpeel
Flying Mouse 365 / chow hon lam
Haha.sg
Bisparulz
xiaobaosg
Mezo
fatheed
wotto
ratkiss
igo2cairo
badbasilisk
isaboa
frickinawesome
againstbound
kooky love
just to name a few.

They are all so goddamn prolific, have their own unique styles and are able to create t-shirt designs that connect with people. That is why it is heartening to see terrible crappy subs! (I know- I am terrible!)

When I do see a rather amateurish lousy design I generally find out the person who created it is a blind 12 year old who drew it in art class in under 10 minutes!!!.... while I labor over my stuff for hours and hours!

Anyway- props to all the awesome creations here- I aspire to such greatness.

Another thing you should find heartening is to go back and look through all those people's earliest submissions. Everyone had to start out here. All the people you think are great artists/designers on here are only great because they improved and you will too.

squatterjohn--you make a great point. It is easy to get bummed early on- and besides threadless allows me to post my designs as kind of a portfolio of my work etc.

Horsefacedee- I thought people would find that funny as well-- ha

man, about bad designs, I just spent the last 15 mins scoring stuff and about 90 % of it I was like, ...why?..thne I got bored and came over to the blogs

I know what you mean- sometimes I see pretty offensive stuff here as well and it boggles my mind that Threadless let it through- it is like there is not filtering system

you definitely have major skills and creative designs- as far as some of the stuff that get's through to be submitted I guess a lenient process is better than a strict one anyway- really bad designs will get blasted here anyway

ratkiss you belong on any list of artists with mad skills- the thing I like about your stuff and which I think it the hallmark of an artist is that your style is evident in all your work-

I on the other had have yet not developed a style but i am flushing that out- doing a lot more sketching lately and trying to come up with something that is my own

this post was not intended to bag on anybody or anyone's design but to highlight some really talented designers and make fun of myself not anyone else-

I am not into that, (at least not in a public forum)
