yea it's just a teaser, and I heard it was running during the simpsons which is one of the reasons i wanted to go to the midnight showing last night haha.

does it seem to be this:
It’s basically the movie Bat-logo, slowing being blown apart by beams of light/lasers (?). There is some sort of conversation between Bruce (Christian Bale) and Alfred (Michael Caine), and then the Joker card showing up as the logo is destroyed. Some of the emails have indicated The Joker (Heath Ledger) says something at the end as well.
(the saying is something like- 'tonight people will die. if anything i'm a man of my word')

thats all i get - it playes all audio and shows the batman symbol and then thats it - but heath ledger sounds pretty good as the joker - not sure about his laugh yet since i cant see him

was it well thought out, carried out and crafted: yes
did it pan out to be worth while? debateable. all we got was a pic that kinda disappoints while it delights, and a trailer that anyone with $8 could see today.
i wanted a little more.
i really wanted access to downloading print files so you could flyer your home town with jokerganda. but i'm not a well-paid marketing strategist.

Anyway, here are the facts about Watchmen:

-Sets are being built in Vancouver right now, including a New York City backlot. Not going to be 300 style, very little digital work except on Mars and in Antarctica.

-Think more SE7EN than SIN CITY in terms of production design.

-Warner Bros is behind an R-rated film.

-It is period. 1985. There was talk of updating it, but Snyder said it never felt right making it about the War On Terror instead of the Cold War, so he insisted it be set in 1985. Warners agreed.

-While it's not a hard rule, he is going to be using the original comic as storyboards. He'll use them to set the framing for most of the movie.

-The casting was not an exercise in marketing, big names avoided.

-Alan Moore is not involved. He asked for his name to be taken off the project way back when it was first being developed and Snyder is honoring that... but he does hope that this will be the first film made from one of his properties that Moore will eventually think "wasn't fucked up too badly."

-David Gibbons has gotten behind the movie and has frequently given his thoughts on the script and art.

I don't know if anyone else who's been hanging around threadless for far too long (like myself) gets really excited when under-printed designers put out a sure thing - but I know I do. I feel the same way about this as when I first saw "No Peeking" by Jublin. That "THIS is a print and it couldn't happen to a better person."
