So i'm buying a friend of mine the bleeding heart shirt but they ran out of guy sizes!

he's a small in the guy size.

the bleeding heart shirt for guys is printed on fruit of the loom shirts and the girl version is printed on american apparel shirts.

i figure if i buy him a large in girls
(measurements: width=17.75 length=26.625)

vs
guys fruit of the loom
(measurements: width=18 length=27.5)

do you think that it is close enough?
guys... you would know better?... suggestions??
any problems with the length of the sleeves? i don't want it to look bad.. help?
