Shillington College, I joined it.
I had my first day at Shillington College today and it was freaking awesome. So much to take in and learn.

I loved the fact that I knew what Kerning was thanks to you fine peeps at Threadless :)

Oh, in case peeps don't know, Shillington College is a Graphic Design college. So yes, I'm studying Graphic Design now. Holy crap!

Maybe I'll actually learn to to design something that sells!!

I haven't heard anything at all about Shillington College, but I have seen their advertising. It sounds pretty full on!

Yeah it's a bombardment of information. Tomorrow we start Briefs and all that jargon. They treat assessment like it's a real client contract so there's full real world deadlines we gotta meet. They're wicked strict on attendance too but I think it's a good thing.

I 've been thinking about taking this course. I've always been creative but how can I be sure I will be any good at graphic design before i wave goodbye to 9k? Is everyone on your course coping OK with the briefs etc? Any advice would be really appreciated..

I can tell you right now LCT52, after all this time (I know I'm late to your comment, sorry) but after completing the course and now working full time as a Graphic Designer, I regret nothing.

I will tell you this though... Don't do what I did and ass about as a class clown (a nasty habit I fall into). Focus on what the teachers have to tell you because they really are giving you everything you need to know to get this job done and more.

Don't think you're going to change the world with design, after all, it's just vectors and alignment.
