Was there a print of CMYK spelled out phonetically here?

I spotted this submission here (CMYK by Johnheslop) which is identical to one I thought was printed on Threadless, but I can't find it.

It hasn't been printed yet but if more than 30 orders on a subbed design are placed it automatically prints - it has 54, so it will print unless the original artist steps up.

hmmm, this site was advertised in one of the freebie papers in london this morning, was going to check it out and this reminded me. I don't think it's the first time this design has been "copied" either - I'm sure I saw a blog on it relatively recently where someone had seen something similar elsewhere.

I can't even see it without making an account. Good thing they made it the site's banner. I'd say it's not the hardest idea to arrive at independently but this one definitely seems stolen. The fact that the spellings are the same makes it seem stolen. Perhaps there's not a lot of ways to write out letters phonetically, especially when making them all three letters so they line up. And I know nothing about kerning, but that looks like crappy kerning. It looks forced to fit the box rather than being natural like the handwritten type. Yet the font does sort of resemble the handwritten type, except in a lazy way, like yo couldn't be bothered. At any rate, it's inferior.

That's the one.

The rip-off (as is usually the case) is very poorly designed in comparison to the original.

Is Metro handed out free on the tube? Is it a Murdoch paper? We have one called mX which is based on something from London, they just hand it out free at the train stations. There's a whole section devoted to what the celebrities are saying on Twitter that day in it.
