Seriously I'd love it if people would give me tips, or tricks, about HOW they design a threadless submission.

SO many things I see on here make me think, "There is NO WAY they created that in Illustrator....so how did they do it?"

And short of just emailing everyone and asking them,
I'm blogging about it.

Help me out?

Do you have a tablet? Even a little one makes things about 10 billion times easier for drawing on the computer. www.wacom.com (I would recommend the Wacom Bamboo for tablet newbies.)

Probably if you inked your design on very clean paper, you could scan it into ps and work with that, too.

oohh, no i dont. i should get one. it'd be tight.

ahh, and im horrible at ps, i'd much rather work with illustrator, that's just me.

another thing.

i've been working with live trace.

my only problem is that when it "live traces" all the lines are more like shapes. I mean, live trace gets like EVERY SINGLE nuance in the lines I draw.

is there a way to change this?

live trace has tons of different preference options. play around with them and see the different effects!
