Need a Photoshop Favor

Alright so I am working on editing some photos for my AP portfolio and am having trouble editing this one picture

here is the original shot:

and here is my editing:

but I chopped off the top line to make it look good and my teacher told me it cannot be chopped. I mean we can retake the picture but I know some of you are masters and can fix it in no time at all

You have the original file, just re do it, uncroppings just going to look like shit.

basically just crop out the cord but not cut any of the top edges on the kleenexes and somehow not make the line where the paper meets the background not apparent. and embellish the lighting

no crop it without taking out the top kleenexes but somehow make it have a solid background. like mine only make the top look complete

Basically what we're saying is that it's a really underexposed picture of something (kleenexes, is what you said?) and so we have no idea what's going on or what to do, your best bet is to start over and do it yourself because all it looks like you did was make it brighter with curves/levels, up the saturation, then crop it.
