Hi there,

I'm currently working on a new design for a tee but I'm thinking of opening it up to the Threadless community as I'm struggling with certain aspects of it.

Now, what I want to know is, what level of compensation do people expect for participation? Would a tee if it gets printed be enough? Or is more expected? I don't want to sell people short if they are helping me out.

I'll see what people say then hopefully upload my work so far before the end of the week.

Cheers,

Sean

what sort of assistance are you looking for?

you mean collabs or just critiquing?

The idea is all there, it's just examples around the theme. It's difficult to explain in words. The tee will be based around films and I need 9 examples of films because I'm struggling to come up with more than 4 great ones.

I'll do a bit of work on what I've got so far then post it up here, and hopefully get some help on making it a good tee.

Somewhere inbetween collab and critique. the idea is locked down, it's just examples that I need and obviously if I can get 5 great examples then I want to show my gratitude to those 5 people, and I want to know how best to do that.

Cheers

You don't have to pay people anything unless you've both signed a contract. Just ask for some help, everyone does it. If people don't want to help you, they won't.

You could buy them each a t-shirt.

Fair enough, I'll still probably try to give them a tee or something though because I really am stuck with the idea. I'll get some work done on it then offer it out to people.

Threadless people can often be pretty helpful.

I know, that's why I want to put it on here, if it weren't for Threadless I wouldn't have had a holiday this year

If the idea gets printed that seems fair.

Great Design Sean, I didn't realize they where controllers for all type of game consoles, until I looked a little closer. Great detail and great design.
