I triple the MGMTness

I'm also pretty into Black Kids and I have real hometown pride for them. Although their album had VERY mixed reviews.

I haven't gotten too many new albums, but of the ones I have gotten.

I really like the new Portugal. The Man, Bon Iver, The Faint, and sort of MGMT

Also... a lot of these listed albums have some good songs, but I don't think are that great of an album as a whole. Like MGMT is a great band, but their actual album is a bit too mixed when it comes to some songs being very catchy and others that are not as accessible (and having a completely different sound from the rest of the album). To me, that album is reminiscent of a 90s alternative band's CD that would have 1-3 good songs and the rest being a bunch of filler.

I agree V&V with your assesment of many of the albums listed, that's why i tried to go with albums that were solid through and through. As for Elephant Sheel, it's a consistant album, but nothing really stands out in that album to me as something innovative. I was satisfied and dissapointed at the same time on that one.

There's so many more that i can't think of right now.
