i feel like a goof

ive started drawing some diesigns by hand and scanning them in to digitally color them, but the background of the image is still white, does it need to be 'transparent' when its submitted if it gets chosen? i dont really know how that works... or if i even explained anything haha

Are you using a different layer for every color? If so, don't worry, thay'll just prep the files for printing separating each color.

i mean like, opening the file in photoshop, the lineart and the white background are all in the same layer so im asking if the white background matters? if the design is not meant to have a white background

Are they just the scanned outlines? Make sure they contrast enough with the background and make a new layer out of them. Then use a different layer for each color you use.

I think untill and unless you want your design on white background it's ok. They will give you options how it would look on other backgrounds.
