From the 10:10 website:
As you may have heard, last week, 10:10 made a mistake by releasing a short film about cutting carbon which was supposed to be humourous but in the event upset a lot of people. We quickly realised that we had made a serious mistake and took it down from our website within hours.
Quite graphic. Did they seriously think that the public would laugh and not get upset by an ad like this? On the other hand it is going to be viral and it made me think about saving more energy. Might work after all.

I wasn't aware it had been pulled, it seems silly to go through all the trouble of making it and having no contingency plan for the backlash!

I didn't know Ginette could do such a good English accent.

It's all planned!

Just like the Axe commercial:

On TV it's was not censored but now it is. Later it gets millions of hits on the web un-censored.

Pretty bad concept imo.

unless of course it was the plan all along to get viral. Still quite poor taste.

Yeah it does look like ginette! The environmentalists are up in arms about it claiming it's some sort of infiltration from the enemy.

it seems like the same tactic PETA often uses... do something shocking and controversial to generate press and attention. kind of a double-edged sword though.

I think its not very good. It doesn't really say anything,
its just shock value with no real insight.

I don't understand if it is suppose to be a visual metaphor of something?

If not, then it is bad advertising because it is extraneous. Whether or not it is shocking doesn't matter much to me.

David Ginola is the best thing about this campaign - good bit of acting. He's the new Eric Cantona.

I don't know how TV works in Britain but surely this wasn't shown on primetime tv, it seems very long and graphic.

I think it's all of the campaign 3 or 4 ads.

If the idea was to create a buzz with controversy, it seems to have backfired.

Hmm, interesting! I sure hope Sony is scrambling to find some other environmental cause to sponsor
