Hi,

myThreadless is a free service which lists all the $5 t-shirts and also has a different way to browse Threadless!

myThreadless can be seen here: http://www.mythreadless.info!

Score ranking can be reached by clicking on the heart or directly: http://www.mythreadless.info/top_score.

Designer ranking can be reached by clicking on the alumni symbol or directly: http://www.mythreadless.info/top_designers. By clicking the number of t-shirts for a designer, you can see all his printed tees using myThreadless interface.

If you're feeling bored, check a random t-shirt: http://randomtee.heroku.com.

Visit, report bugs, tell me what you think, your feedback is highly appreciated!

Bruno Nery

you should probs keep all the mythreadless stuff in a single blog.
Chengui

That is AWESOME to see. I'd love to be able to search unprinted submission that way too (understand why that's way too hard). Good work!

That's a good idea, Jellves. Is it possible to delete blogs? I think I might use this one as the final myThreadless blog. :) Or is it better to use the previous one?

Glad that you liked it, Chengui - as for the unprinted submission, If I can get my hands on a page with a lot of links, I might give it a try. ;)
Chengui

If you want to delete a blog just click the "edit" button and there's a checkbox at the bottom to delete.

Awesome that you're doing all this stuff.

This one is really nice, was nice to see.

Yeah, displaying unprinted submissions this way would be even more awesome, but unless there's some way to grab all of the pages that you'd need, I don't think it's very possible.

Keep going.

Why so serious, gumbolimbo? :)

bruno, you should probs delete the second & third blog you made (click Edit and at the bottom there's a box for deleting, like Chengui said), and then edit the first blog to include updates.

i.e.

first blog says:

"I made a website for easier navigation of all the threadless tees for sale! Check it out at www.mythreadless.com" or w/e.

And then you update it.

Put the update on that first post, then bump the blog by posting in it "Updated! Check the first post!"

yeah...

It's missing 2 of my prints... Not that it matters.
brunonery
brunonery on Aug 10 '08 at 2:04pm
In fact, the script just polled the products on thecatalog, so it might have 'lost' some of the products.
brunonery
brunonery on Aug 10 '08 at 2:06pm
I don't know, Jellves, there is useful information on the other posts, and I don't want to remove other people ideas from the blog. Maybe I'll just leave it as it is and use only this blog from now on.

AppOverlimit... no more bandwidth?
roadkill3d
   roadkill3d on Aug 10 '08 at 2:17pm
Th flaw of the script is that it doesn't list most of the sold out shirts.
brunonery
brunonery on Aug 10 '08 at 2:44pm
Seems like you used my application too much - you'll need to wait until tomorrow now. :(
brunonery
brunonery on Aug 10 '08 at 2:53pm
Heroku.com is a free service and, as such, it has bandwidth limits (even paid services have bandwidth limits). However, I set up a backup one for the people who are eager to see it: myThreadless2.
brunonery
brunonery on Aug 10 '08 at 2:54pm
It didn't work, so here it goes again: http://mythreadless2.heroku.com.

brunonery on Aug 10 '08 at 2:59pm
As for the sold out tshirts, roadkill3d, do you know if there's a page with the list?

Chengui

Putting the prices there is like 200% better.
brunonery
brunonery on Aug 10 '08 at 5:16pm
Put the prices is a little more complicated.

As for the sold out t-shirts, there's a lot - it's a lot of t-shirts - I really need to think better and restructure the application in order to have an acceptable performance.

If you're feeling bored. check http://randomtee.heroku.com. If you're feeling generous, donate me some street team points. ;)

I decided to put the sold out t-shirts on the score ranking series. It's being updated right now on http://mythreadless2.heroku.com/top_score, and will be updated tomorrow (I hope) on the regular myThreadless site.
evercurious
evercurious on Aug 10 '08 at 7:52pm
hey that scores ranking thing is cool. i'd been wondering what the highest ever score had been - it's 3.98?

i'm now laughing at myself for checking out TWO threadless sites!

nice little project you've got going, fella.
brunonery
brunonery on Aug 11 '08 at 5:34am
The highest ever score for a printed t-shirt, that is. As for the unprinted designs, it's a little more complicated to do it. Does anyone know if there's a page with all the designs ever made?
brunonery
brunonery on Aug 12 '08 at 5:32pm
I rewrote the myThreadless application and also put it on a custom domain name (http://www.mythreadless.info) and added cache capabilities to it (TTL is 1 hour for t-shirt info and 1 day for each product list page - what do you think?). It should be faster now, but the score ranking is not yet implemented on the new version.

Do you feel it faster?
brunonery
brunonery on Aug 14 '08 at 8:37am
mythreadless.info is not as fast as before, but the bandwidth problem shouldn't occur anymore. I moved to another server, but I'm still having problems with the cache for previews. Yet, the catalog pages cache still works.

And we have a new feature: zoom! Hover your mouse over a t-shirt, clock zoom and try to use your keyboard arrows. ;)
brunonery
brunonery on Aug 14 '08 at 5:12pm
Problems fixed (I hope)! myThreadless is back at a hosting service without bandwidth limits, faster than ever (cache fixed) and also with a neat zoom feature.

Please check it out, tell me what you think, your feedback is my food!

(Next feature planned is score/designer ranking - what do you think?)

bump, now with score and designer ranking!
valorandvellum
   valorandvellum on Aug 16 '08 at 4:55pm
Interesting project! I have 9 prints though... not 7 :-P

I think Phil has more than 7 prints too.
valorandvellum
   valorandvellum on Aug 16 '08 at 4:58pm
Also, Raid 71 is Chris only. Not Graham. Graham is Tonteau.
brunonery
brunonery on Aug 16 '08 at 5:01pm
The selected prints don't count for the ranking, as they don't have a score. The ones missing are selected ones?
valorandvellum
   valorandvellum on Aug 16 '08 at 5:03pm
Oh, selects don't count? Do 12 month club prints not count either?
brunonery
brunonery on Aug 16 '08 at 5:06pm
Neither selects nor 12-month club ones, at least not yet. Since they don't have a score, it's a little complicated given the way the application is implemented. But if you rant too much I might give it a shot :).
valorandvellum
   valorandvellum on Aug 16 '08 at 5:08pm
12 months have a score. They have to go through the voting process too!
brunonery
brunonery on Aug 16 '08 at 5:10pm
Oh, I see the name problem. It happened because of the

Understanding Bird Song

t-shirt, which was the first one my application found that was attributed to Chris' username, and he made that one with Graham Shephard.

This would be so much easier if I had access to Threadless API. :)
brunonery
brunonery on Aug 16 '08 at 5:12pm
I guess you're right (trust me, I'm a Threadless newbie :)). I think the problem with the 12-month club ones is that they don't appear on the catalog (which is what my application parses to get the data). As for the selects, they appear on the catalog but don't have a score.
