Which TEXT is better???

hi everybody, i need some input, on my first crit:
which one has a better text?

the 2D text...

OR the 3D text...

I don't know about this... there isn't much of a concept and the artwork looks awfully pixelated. Maybe come up with a killer concept and work on that instead?

I think people don't like text as much because it narrows down the allowance for interpretation. People also like to "get it" just from the visuals (think Communist Party... it doesn't actually say "Communist Party" anywhere on the shirt and that, in a way, makes it much better).

Also, if your sub is pixelated, it might get denied... they won't let you sub something if there's a chance that it's not high enough res to print.

Never really figured that out. People here seem to want more visual stimulants. They want to be able to get the concept/joke without it being explained via the text on the shirt.

It seems like cases where text is actually successful on a tee is when the words are a little bit ambiguous and the typography is done very very well. The look of the type also needs to reflect the other elements around it. In that case, the imagery is still open to interpretation. People generally don't like things pointed out to them because it makes them feel dumb. They want to get it on their own.
