fixing the line width when saving in illustrator?

Hi all,
When I save an image in Illustrator the pencil and brush lines look a lot wider. Is there a way to keep those proportions the same?

go Edit/Preferences/General and make sure you check the "scale strokes and effects" box, or else try selecting anything with a stroke or brush effect on it and go Object/Expand to create solid outlines around it.

scale strokes and effects is also in a drop down menu from the transform tool. you could also select all strokes and then edit their width through the stroke menu.
