Design Color Count

I know you are allowed up to 4, but does it have any influence on which designs are printed? More colors = more money to print, correct? Are fewer color shirts any more likely to be printed?

Also, if I remember correctly, Threadless still gets their shirts printed somewhere (at least last time I heard). Is this still the case, and if so, any plans on getting some screen printing equipment?

color count has no influence on whether a design is printed or not.

We still outsource all of our printing and have no plans to bring it in house right now.

I just recall that setting up each screen of color usually has a set up fee (which seemed like a lot when I did it) but I guess its kind of a trivial matter when you are having so many shirts printed.
