Um. I haven't been here in a long time. But I used to be a cool kid, I swear.

I just wanted to say that I'm super excited that Joy of Text got picked up as this big official thing and crap like that. It was definitely one of my favorite things that the bloggers pulled off in the past.

So YAY, you guys! I'm super proud of you.

(Even though all the newfangled inkity-type style things totally intimidate me. I don't even know what "simulated process" means.)

After months of stoically using Illustrator, I've discovered that I really like photoshop. I'm much more comfortable with Illustrator now than I was when I started, but I feel like I'm just not organised enough to make good use of it... It seems to require planning and forethought that I generally can't muster.

Bah!

I tried to submit a slogan just now, and got not one, but two errors

1. Your slogan is too long, it can be 65 characters, it is 12characters too long
2. Oh My. Your slogan has naughty words in it.

I had no idea Threadless screened for that! Way to go, guys. Even if it sometimes catches things in the wrong context, you're probably saving everyone a lot of tedium.

The attempted slogan in question: If I were an Ophthalmologist-cum-plumber, I would put "U" and "eye" together.

(What? It makes me giggle...)

The comments for this submission



...don't match up with the submission itself. It seems like most of them are actually directed to another submission (this one?) by the same artist.

There was also a post on Bramish's recent Lord of the Flies submission that was obviously referring to something other than the design it was posted under. (It's the post after herky's, and it doesn't make sense.)

Has anyone else noticed problems with this?
