"I've been drinking green tea all day!"

I've never actually seen what movie that quote is from but my brother quotes it all the time. it's also appropriate for right now.
Green tea is amazing.
I recently discovered that they have these amazing things called "Green Tea Lattes" at Starbucks. I may just start going there regularly because of that.
I'm not sure if anyone reads blogs I post but if they do I guess I won't let this stay as useless as it is now and I'll ask:

What's your favorite drink from Starbucks?

well... it won't be as useless as it was.. sort of. :D

Be blessed, all.

green tea lattes are hella good. pretty near the only thing i ever order from that place, along with the occasional espresso brownie.

the quote is from "hotrod". i haven't seen it yet, but it's on the trailer.

and as for the green tea at starbucks. it's not actual green tea. it's some fruit, forgot what. the fruit is not all that appealing so they named it green tea because of the color. sorry if i rained on your parade. if anything, it's still pretty tasty. thai tea is really great for any time of day. i don't know if they serve it at starbucks though.

Myla Goldberg, I've never had it before but it sounds amazing. Tea in general is great!

Juliejeremiah, heck yes, they're definitely the greatest thing I've never known about until today!

Mike, thank you. That movie looks hilarious. Wait, seriously? Is there any green tea in it at all? And like what kind of "not so appealing"? Like "cantelope"-not-so-appealing or like "garbage water"-not-so-appealing? Knowing that kind of makes the drink even more appealing to me now :) I know they have chai tea there!

they don't serve Thai tea at starbucks, but it is just about the most delicious drink ever invented.

shakethesheets on Jul 07 '08 at 6:06pm
haha and the "chai tea" at Starbucks isn't actual chai tea, it's more like hot chocolate than tea.

I think you have to have a certain type of sense of humor to really enjoy Hot Rod, like....the kind of sense of humor you need to be cool, and me.

and.

iPear, there's a green tea ice cream? Oh my word that sounds awesome!

t4sh4, haha, I know, I freaked last minute and decided to conform.

Puma7, this is so blowing my mind right now, I know like nothing about Starbucks. I didn't know that people sell chocolate smoothies.

Shakethesheets, really? haha, I guess they are better at their coffee then their teas.

iPear, Haha, I hope I'll like it then!

yeah, they have it at trader joes.

I don't drink coffee, and their hot chocolate is nasty, so maybe I will give the fake tea latte a try next time.

PS welcome to Threadless, we always need more bass players

iPear, dang it! No Trader Joes here but if I drive out like half an hour into the desert there's this place called "Eat At Joes" where a bunch of old men play bluegrass and you can only order one of 8 things off the menu. Thankfully they have mashed potatoes.

The czar, I agree! I thought something was wrong with my hot chocolate and I told the barista and she was like "um, no that's how we make it". Good idea, it may just be like hot chocolate :)! Why thank you! I couldn't agree more! :)

Wow, this blog is showing me how terribly sheltered my life is....

Cool!

Caramel Macchiato =). Yum.

I was at the dollar store yesterday and got a 42 oz Arizona Green Tea, for a dollar, that was pleasant.

I hate how when you go to buy a bottle or can of green tea in most stores, it's full of all kinds of stuff other than water and tea. Trader Joe's is the only store I've found other than little Asian groceries that sell plain green tea in a bottle, no sweeteners or weird stuff.

Killdoomkid:

You should try it!! It is delicious. Just make sure you get it sweetened if you want it to be a less tart. It's still awesome either way though.

there's green tea ice cream. i don't fancy it much but i was younger when i tried it out. i'll check it if i find it. you should be able to find it at some local asian market. there's also green tea mochi. if you've never had mochi, the description of it is not too great. but it makes up for that in taste.

and it's "cantelope"-not-so-appealing. not taste wise. like if they happened to make something that usually tastes bad into a good thing, they wouldn't keep the name. that kind of thing.

Jackanapes mk.II
Jackanapes mk.II on Jul 07 '08 at 11:53pm
I disagree. It is uniquely American. Afterall, what is American?

Did they have Starbucks in Toqueville's time? No. And Toqueville himself wasn't even American. He was French.

I say, let's all have crepes and drink our soda's without ice.

oh, well, if American = French, by all means.
Jackanapes mk.II
Jackanapes mk.II on Jul 08 '08 at 12:25am
Well, maybe French isn't so bad. I mean, no one goes out to the movies and then spends the whole time Americaning the girl they took there.

I try really hard to be un-American. Nah, just kidding. I am not a big fan of coffee or spending more than $3 on a drink. And there are none around here.

All about me
Hi. I like to make things. Music is my favorite (I play the bass guitar). Screenplays are my second (It's kind of like my job. I love to write and act in plays). Clothing and such comes in third.. well, I mean I love doing all of those things, there's not really a particular order but I guess when I think about it, that's just kind of how it come out. Um, I'm a Christian. I'm not perfect by any means and I don't pretend to be. I love all people, meeting them, talking to them, hanging out with them, whatever, it's all good to me because everyone's different then me somehow making them fascinating. Well, umm, my favorite colour's red. Batman's my favorite. Underoath, Emery, Hillsong, He is Legend, Lights and Yann Tiersen are really cool.. that's really about it. Hope to get to know you, too.
