I got my appendix taken out this morning, whoo hoo! And I can't feel a thing.

Must be all that morphine and vicodin.

No, I wanted to though! My brother didn't get to keep his either.



Luckily it didn't rupture, because I went in so early after I got the pain. I guess that's why I get a pretty painless surgery/recovery. :)

My best friend nearly died from a ruptured appendix. HE had really bad stomach pain and his parents stupidly assumed that it was just some kind of stomach flue.



The doctor's reckoned that if he had waited even one more day before coming in, he may have very well died.



I'm glad you're alright and are enjoying a relatively pain free recovery.

I'm really sorry about your friend- but very glad he made it. My brother did the same thing, and waited until he pretty much couldn't walk to go ask for help. He had a pretty rough time after his surgery.

i find it dumb that humans still have a useless organ that is potentially lethal if it ruptures.

ha.. well TECHNICALLY evolution has made it possible to operate on it and remove it.. but yea... in a post-apocalyptic world, appendicitis will destroy humanity
