Adobe Illustrator help... Design help in general.
Hello everyone! I'm new to the threadless scene and am having trouble understanding the whole process.

I downloaded the Adobe Illustrator free trial to see if i could get used to the program before i bought it. So far I've proven myself to be incapable of even coloring in a square haha. Does everyone who submits designs seriously figure out how to use it??? I draw and paint free hand very well.. I'd hate to be limited by a computer program. How does everyone else do it?

you would prob benefit the most by becoming familiar with photoshop.

I do a mix of everything. I actually havent submitted anything yet, no time right lately. But if u wat to know how to use illustrator you can use the help menu and online tutorials. To be honest, a lot of people just use photoshop. Illustrator will give you the smooth lines and surfaces though.

btw, to fill in illustrator you have to use the color select boxes on the side. see image:

Also, keep in mind there's no possible way to learn software within the 30day or whatever free trial you get. It takes years.

I prefer the photoshop
