Is there something to get?

I usually hate the people who poop all over their blogs with ignorance and misunderstanding, but seriously, help me out on this one.

It's a cool design, sure, but what more is there to it?

There's kind of an explanation under the original submission. Look it up, and see if it helps.

saltcandy, you're not the only one! I really like this design too and I've got it in my shopping basket... but I haven't bought it yet because I don't really know what means.

Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety. -Benjamin Franklin

Can someone walk me through the design so I know how the gas mask and the tuxedo-ed skulls say that?

I read the explanation on the blog, and it seems forced and contrived to me. I was more into it before reading the explanation.

That said, it's an awesome design. Who cares what it means if it looks cool? I'd rather wear a well drawn design of questionable meaning, than a witty design that's drawn poorly.

I'm placing my order right now.

I get the explanation of the shirt, but I don't think it represents that quote. Basically, it says we put up walls to shield us and figures to calm us. But I don't see how that relates to the whole quote in general. Yes the quote refers to us putting up those walls and figures, but it goes on to say more, which the shirt doesn't say.
