Threadless

I'm new to all this, and thrilled to have a design approved for voting.

The thing is, after I submitted it, I started thinking of ways to make it much awesomer. It would be the same basic image, but with a LOT of substantial changes.

I know, though, that Threadless won't accept duplicates.

So does this mean that if I submit a design, if it doesn't get "bought" by Threadless and instead is archived, that I can't do anything with that same fundamental image for future submissions?

Can someone explain duplicate submissions to me? (Beyond just "it's a copy", because I know that much.)

Thanks!
