I'm currently working on a project where the client would like a virtual flier for an event (I'm assuming to post on a site or to email to people), in which the web addresses are clickable and would direct the viewer directly to the web site.

I work in print media, and have no idea how to do this, what it's called, or how to begin. What file format would this be?

Anybody web-savvy?

I don't know what kind of caveman instinct in me marvels in the manhood of building a blaze and searing some slabs of red meat in the stinging flames, but I love it.
