But girls already DO have the right to vote. Well, women anyways. If we let GIRLS vote they'd just pick the politician who offered them more shoes.

I'd buy it if I was living in the late 1910's.

It's a shirt for crybaby feminists.

even if girls, or women i suppose, already DO have the right to vote, it doesn't detract from the fact that they still SHOULD. for instance: lawyers make more money than teachers, but that doesn't mean they SHOULD.

Speaking of girls having rights, I just found out that my co-worker who got hired a few weeks ago (I've been here for two and a half months) makes more money than me.

Same exact position, I'm more qualified than him (video and graphic design), but he has a penis? Please explain why I shouldn't be angry about this.

If I do that he'll think I'm a feminist. I should just punch him in the face.

Incidentally, the amendment on this shirt didn't "give" women the right to vote.

There is NO such right to vote. However, if a State does run a popular election, people of that State are no longer to be denied because of their sex, race, or inability to pay a poll "tax".

I think this shirt is really stupid. It quotes the 19th amendment, yaay women's rights, then calls them "girls."

quit whining, the guy obviously negotiated better than you did at the end of the hiring interview.

stop being all emo and lame and go ask your boss for a raise, or find a better job that pays more, and remember that you have skills that are worth money - and as such negotiate a satisfactory rate of pay at the outset.

as to the shirt, it's awesome. :)

Did you know that a recent study showed that an employer is more likely to hire you based on how well you negotiate your contract?

That's great, talented negotiators vs. talented employees.

I just don't get this... YES: they SHOULD have the right to vote BUT they DO already have that right. What statement is this shirt making? Or am I missing the point? Just... a comment. On a positive note - I do love the style.

WholeGrain, not everything is a conspiracy. FREQUENTLY, those hired at a later date are paid more given the market. Maybe you need to do your job better to get a raise!

In Canada today, women working full-time still make an average of only seventy-two cents for every dollar earned by men, and this wage gap has narrowed by just eight percentage points since the late 1960s.

I imagine the stats are similar in most Western countries. I was trying to explain this to my father the other day, he just said, "ohh, those are old figures."

I said, "Dad, you're a middle-aged heterosexual white male. Of course you think everything is fine."

He didn't like that.
