Hey y'all, I'm just lookin' for some advice/tips, a slap in the face etc. what have you.

mb I'm just not getting the vibe right here, but I thought I'd do okay w/ some decent drawing skills...

what's missing here?

presentation?
cleaner imagery/graphical quality?
snarky jokes?
better attitude?

any and all advice would be appreciated...
so, go ahead, tear me a new one!

;P

the only thing i'd advise is to take the drawing and make it larger

i think it's funny

Are you talking about your designs?

This is the first I have seen of your designs, and honestly I love your first two, especially the first. On your third one as I'm sure a lot of people have said the square edges ruin it, but it is a good drawing.

But still you only have 3 designs. . . The only advice I have for you at this point is keep subbing!

some questions and answers:

shirtflirt: which image are you talking about(to make larger)?

& can I re-submit stuff if I change it enough?

olie!: yes, I'm talkin' about my stuff.

guess I should've listened when peeps said boxing images KILLS!

& thnx for the compliments&encouragement!

FOR REAL!

ISABOA: Thnx ! & WORD boo-tay! I will keep on keepin' on.

Kookaberry: I did put that goat dude up for critique & got no response... decided I'd keep it for myself. thought it was too simple, mb a bad choice.

Your stuff is weird and a little creepy/macabre. It will divide the voting population and you will never get the insanely high scores that cutesy, punny stuff gets. However, you seem to have the type of art that garners respect from fellow designers as well as other users on the site. You clearly have skill, you just don't know how to put it to use on a tshirt quite yet and haven't quite figured out what the Threadless crowd likes. Unfortunately the best way to do this is by trial and error. Or you can browse the catalog to see what designs similar in style to yours have won. So far you have the "things on shirt" syndrome going on whereas you need a flow and a fit with the tshirt as a canvas which is just...hard to explain. As Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart said "I know it when I see it."

nice, a homework assignment...

I'm gettin' it.

I kept thinking about how I would like a shirt instead of what the community vibe was about.

+ it's about time I learn to polish & present.
