One of the best ways is to become part of the community already here. People are more likely to vote on your design if they know you. Get involved on the blogs and some of the user competitions around every now and then. There's heaps of awesome to experience. One of the worst ways is to post/spam links to your design on someone elses design. People don't like that. Have fun and make friends! :)

To promote your design absolutely don't spam with the link on other peoples designs! other than that it's good to write a blog about your design :)

Use the "Embed code" which you'll find under the scoring buttons on your design and put it in this blog (you canedit your first post so it's up the top.) Like this:







Then you can use this blog to promote your design. There are also little buttons there that you can use to easily tell your friends on MySpace or other networks, so tell your friends.
