Good evening all...or morning...

In the interest of light discussion (ie, not involving politics, religion or scoring designs on Threadless) I ask you, the people of the Interweb..."When do you produce your best designs"?

You might do you best work after a light lunch and a stroll through a park. Or, maybe the exact opposite, in a dark, dank room late at night with a mouse buried in potato crisp packets and empty Coke™ cans. I believe a few Web Developers nodded just then.

Or perhaps you get up at 5am like Rocky and sit there in a hoody listening to Eye of the Tiger on your Abflex™ as design your heart away. I don't know. This is for you to say.

Anyway, hopefully someone out there will have something to say because this'll be an awefully short blog if it there aren't.

Hey One & All,

Just seeing what the deal is with voting. Sometimes I see designs getting oodles of votes and other designs only getting a few votes. Irrespective of quality. There's some solid designs out there getting only a few hundred votes while some very average and uncreative work is getting two or three times that.

Is there something I'm missing?

Yes, I know successful designs will automatically gain popularity, but, if you look around at past votes you won't have to look hard to find designs with a low final score that have been voted on many more times than others?

Do you have to be with the "in-crowd" here? Do I need to blog heaps, comment stacks or earn some sort of reputation before the work I do good enough to vote for.

I guess all I'm saying is I find it a little frustrating, and, at the end of the day are designs actually getting voted on how good they are?

Feel free to comment, because this has been buggin me.

Just looking for some feedbackish on my "hip" design.

Feel free to be constructive.

Hey Kids,

Thanks for all your help in telling me what a blog is. Although it's still not something I'd yell from rooftops, I now quite like these blogs. Anyways.

Just fumbled my way through putting up my first design to be critiqued. Hope you guys can have a look at it and not make me cry. And if I do cry it's probably because I've been cutting onions or washing my eyes or something, not because I'm upset.

I got a link to it below. I haven't worked out how to make it all blue and click-able (Gimme a break, I'm Australian) so, it probably isn't a proper link. But, if anyone know how to do this I'd be stoked if they told me.

Can someone explain to me what blogs are and why I should make one if I actually figure out how to make one.

All about me

Cameron is a state of mind, rather than just a name. Like nirvana without so much flannelette, or enlightment without wearing the orange Karate Kid outfit. In fact, picture the Karate Kid when he wasn't fighting, without the Italianess, but with the cool girlfriend.
