Naming computer stuff...

You know, like external hard drives, ipods, flashdrives and wireless networks - stuff like that. I always really struggle to think of a name, and so most of my stuff is just some variation of my own name... but I was just wondering what nicknames everyone else gives to their computer stuff.

I usually just use the name of the item as their name. I do this for almost everything. My bunny's name is Earl Grey but I call her bunny. Any dogs or cats I don't know I usually just call dog or cat. Car is car, flashdrive is flashdrive.

I like how you do it, though. Kimpod. Kimdrive. Kimputer.

It's more like Kimby's hard drive etc. But I think I will have to rename my computer Kimputer now.

I don't really name things like hard drives and USBs. They usually just have a name based on their brand and I don't bother.

But I named all my iPods based on names from mytholgoy or Shakespeare that I associate with their colour.

I don't name my computer stuff but my car's name is Betsy.

I name any portable electronics with some variation of: "If found please call _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _" or "If found please email _ _ _ [dot] _ _ _ _ _ _ [at] gmail [dot] com" or sometimes just my name and phone number. Something that helps get it back to me should I lose it.

my stuff are all named after the computers from homestarrunner.. lappy 486/compy 386 etc..

except my ipod which i called wednesday for some reason
