I think that's the main point it has going for it. I just want a huge cool picture on my fb page.

It's kinda sneaky though. In my (obviously biased) opinion, a lot of people who were early adopters of Google plus were designers, bloggers, developers and the like... and the people who are most active on my feed at present, are illustrators and photographers. Not your average social network users. I guess it feels a little bit like "oh hey guys, if you come back to facebook you can have a big ass picture and generally curate your life"

But even if that is the case, it's still really appealing to me. Damn you cover photos!
