I've never really liked them, though I did listen to a lot of black metal back in highscool, but if you recommend it I shall watch, thanks vikinglady!

Just saw it, pretty interesting indeed. More than genuinely evil I think that guy's just really fucked up in the head, living all his life in isolation, in the harsh weather, all his conceptions of the world based on the tiny piece of it he knew.

I think he has kind of a really black and white perspective, like "Christians represent everything I don't so I should do everything they don't." or something like that. He probably had a pretty strong christian background too.

I think the scariest part was at the end, when he went over 2 minutes without blinking, wtf?!

That look that he gave the interviewer was so so frightening. Like right before he sips his wine, he was like pure evil.

I recently heard a story about them, when they came here to play, but it didn't get any media coverage so I'm not really sure if it's true, is not like they're someone the mexican media would care to protect.

Supposedly whenever they make a show (not sure if every show or just the one outside their regular tour agenda) they demand for a child, for, well, sexual purposes. And supposedly the organizer got them a boy and they all got their way with him, but then people found out and were waiting outside where the concert took place to lynch them, so they had to bring in the cops to protect them .

Again, I'm not sure how much about that is true.

Oh, and I heard it from a friend that went to play to the capital like a month ago, cause as I said, no media coverage at all.

They make every american metal band look oh so very PG 13, seriously.

Well, the whole black metal scene has always been like that, I already knew about the church burnings, and Euronymus murder by Vickerness. But they didn't mention the sucicde of Mayhem's drummer and the photo of it used for their next album cover, that's one of the most told black metal-related stories.

I've never been into the theatrics involved, I much prefer for musicians to focus in the music rather than image. Like Borknagar, the first non-satanic, non-make up wearing black metal band, and the best one to date IMO. And with borknagar and their side projects they show how really amazing musicians they are.
