You guys are taking the shirt way to literally lol. I'm from the east coast too, and you can take notice that the "scene" style is indeed similar and almost exact as the emo style. If you need more sources, just check your local myspace :P
But who cares lol I'm not poking fun at the style, I'm simply pointing out that kids of that nature preach to others that they are as individuals and non-conformists, but when in reality, they're nothing but part of the crowd.
-_-' i hope that clarified the "Emo" thing for all of you.
WTH?! can anyone read?! if you locate my previous comments, you WILL in fact notice, i make it rather clear, that it is not Emo, nor "goth" or "hot topic" w/e. It's Scene. Theres a SMALL difference, but a difference non the less.
well theres 3 minutes of my life ill never get back :|
Design causes too much thinking. Be aware that your audience isn't quite the most intelligent. Therefore stupefying a design can be a must, or else a majority wont understand.
Thank you all very much for the critiques (: i appreciate them greatly and will take each and everyone one of them into consideration when desiging and submitting my next design.
I apologize for my "n00b-ness," for i never really submitted to Threadless before. So these suggestions really helped a lot! :D
As for the stereotype accusations, i suppose you can say it was "aiming" at them (emo), but actually it was more meant at the "scene" scene. Most Scene/Hardcore/w.e kids, claim that they are not like the rest, that they listen to "real" music, and so on and so forth. Hence, individuality to the EXTREME! yet i thought it was rather ironic on how EVERY one of those kids whom "claim" that label, look all alike and are all alike. Thus i thought it would be clever to put the two words, individuality and irony together and therefore creating the statement you see before you.
I'm not the one pointing fingers lol. If anything, I'm possibly giving them MORE attention.
But nothing really with emo /: although both styles ARE very, very similar.
