I never understood why even a good T-shirt slogan here will never even reach a good percentage after a large number of votes.

My tips for slogan raters and makers:
1) Don't just click through the slogans and hit "OMG, NO" on all of them just because. Go through them at a reasonable pace and think your vote through.

2) If you think it might be popular with people, even if you don't necessarily love it but just like it a little, just click "I'D WEAR IT." Slogan rating is there to help the owners of Threadless find slogans that would make them money, not ones that personally make you happy.

3) When making slogans, remember that you are making something that should be worn in the real world. For example, a shirt that mentions slogans (in reference to our slogans here) would not make sense to people. Make slogans that make sense to people in the real world.

The point of voting for these is to make money for the company.

And you know, the more money the company makes off these slogans, the more money you make off of these slogans.

It has been recently found out through an extensive research that slogan tips are healthier when circumcised, and it also makes the cleaning process faster and more precise.

you're saying that i see a shirt that i wouldn't wear, but i'm supposed to say i would anyway?

this would skew the results and would give the owners/printers the wrong idea, so when they actually did print it, no one would buy it

since no one would buy it, and they print all the shirts in advance, they would lose money...

the point of a business is to make money, but the point of voting is that they want the shirts that a MAJORITY of the community will like, and therefore will buy, not ones that they think other people will like (those people can vote for themselves if they are even on here)

The target of the idea was lost in translation, I suppose. I'm talking about those people who just hit no for 99% of the shirts they see.

We really should grade less harshly. Sure, you can pick ones that are funny, but it'd make it easier to get the money.
