Delivery to Germany
I was wondering about peoples experience when having their products delivered to Germany.

Ie. how much did German customs bill you for importing the products into the country?

I don't know about Germany but Holland is anything over 45euro.

I looked around for a bit, and I'm pretty sure that any commercial shipments (not a gift) have to be under 22 Euros. Gifts or personal effects can go up to 45. I'm not sure if shipping counts or not. I've gotten charged customs for DVDs - around 15 euro for a $78 shipment (back when the dollar was worth a little more), but I've also sent myself a huge box of books without a problem.

Yes, it's 22,- EUR without shipping [1].



Above that you have to pay 12% [2] plus 19% purchase tax [3]



So at present you can order shirts for up to $34 [4] to avoid additional costs. But I think the calculation bases on the exchange rate of the day the package arrives in Germany!



And coupons or GCs don't count towards the limit of 22 EUR!

And I just read [PDF] that as from Dec. 1st, 2008 the limit will mount up to EUR 150! Ace!
