I want to thank you all for this weekend.

Chicago was an amazing time. As I watch some of the videos people have posted and go over the pictures I took, I kinda tear up. I really hope to see all of you as much as I can, like for reals. Everyone is insanely funny, kind, TALENTED in real life. It blows my mind to think about.

A lot of the designers that are pretty established on here I was pretty intimidated to talk to, but once I got over being shy we were able to talk about pokemon, bouncing babies, and the jersey shore. Maybe a little art too. :P

I really think the Threadless community has made me a better person. It has made me a better artist. Btw, I do draw better than my first two subs. I just have to learn the computer stuff a lot better. :^) It has made me more aware of places around the country and world. I am thankful for my threadless family.

Anyways, I am not that great with words, but I want you all to know that I LOVE you guys. You have inspired me so much.

A BIG thank you to Threadless for putting this all together, to everyone that organized anything (hotel, dinners, etc.) and YOU for being YOU. Hopefully I wasn't to weird/awkward/shy to be around and I hope I see you again SOON. :D

ps, I dont think I have hugged that many people in a long time. I didn't think I would. I was super nervous that I was going to high five everyone because they would think I was weird.

Brian, I wish I would have seen you more! With a group that big, you cant spend every minute with everyone I guess. :/ I plan on an East Coast trip sometime next Summer though so we will reunite. :)

matt you were my first hug of the weekend and i'm so glad it panned up that way. that train ride was fun and creepy thanks to that other dude..it was amazing to meet you and realize you're just like you are online and then some. mad hugs to you. you've always got a place in canada if you ever want to make the trip while you're taking your year off to decide what you'd like to do!

Mark, I am sure you get this all the time, but I am deeeply impressed with your drawing ability. I wish I had a tattoo I wanted so I could have you do it. I feel like I would have no problem trusting you to draw something permanent on my body.

Dez, it was really nice of you to wait for me at the airport. I am sure I would have made it to the hotel eventually, but it would not have been as fun. You are 110% just like you are online too and when I met you I lost all my nerves about meeting so many people from the internetz IRL.

Isn't it funny how you can't really explain accurately how cool these people you met online are without sounding weird? Whatever, its worth it!

HAHAHAHA, phil I was meaning to tell you this before, but it was weird to bring up. I am so used to seeing you in bacon taco on cam with no sound that in my mind I was convinced that you actually had no voice. Like, you were a mute. Then when I met you in person, my brain hurt so hard because obviously that is not true. I've got mad respect for you. You are a great human being and I wish I lived by you so we could go to dinner regularly. Also, I really love your pic for Robocup.

Matt! You really felt like a childhood friend or a brother or something to me. I don't feel like we talked a lot, but honestly, I didn't feel like I had to with you. I hope that doesn't come out mean :/. I was always comfortable around you and it was like I knew you for ages. I didn't have to do small talk with you, which is probably why I never really struck a conversation with you and acted around you like nbd. I hope you drive down to Vegas some time. I might be going up to Utah within the year.

Omair, are you sure that we were not friends like in high school? I feel like I am known you for a long time. When I first started going into Bacon Taco you were so welcoming every time I signed in. I think you had a major influence on my decision to go to chicago. Then I thought that you were maybe not going and I super frowned and my heart got a hairline crack but then you did go and I got heart surgery to fix it and now I am like a 2011 model of hearts.

Sam, do you know how COOL you are man? At the party on Sat night I was like, I know sam is cool and I love that he loves science so much, but he is also so smiley and makes me want to have fun. We sang so much karaoke without the mics. haha.

LOL mitch, I am sorry I had to "meet you" twice. I was like I HAVENT MET HIM YET! BUT then i had. The first time I met you I was just overwhelmed and it was a blur. LIke the teacups at disneyland.

haha, I try to be as myself in real life as possible on the blogs. I am now realizing with people's blogs how many people i only talked to for a couple of seconds and it makes me sad. I need to have a checklist for next year with a box for "Had a quality conversation with..." to check off.

yeah, its a lot of new people to meet so when you make a connection you feel comfortable with that so its hard to talk extensively to other people.
